Officially Sick.

I am officially sick. Yesterday, I felt crappy. Today, I am sick. I broke down and went to the doctor's.

I was annoyed because the receptionist wouldn't ask him to simply call in a script for me. I know when I'm sick, I know what I have, and it's a waste of my time and my doctor's time to see me, when he knows what I have!

I've been his patient since I was about 14, and the past 18 years of my medical history will denote about four cases of bronchitis, one case of chostocondritis (which is horrible, and I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. It's the inflammation of the cartilidge in your rib cage), and anywhere between 2 and 6 visits for sinus infections a year. A YEAR. That is, on average about Oh, and in all the other instances, I had a sinus infection ON TOP of the other malady. That is a total of at least 72 sinus infections. I think I know when I have them.

So I trudge into the doctor's. He walks in the room and says "The usual?" and I laugh. Fortunately, even though I've got a lot of pressure in my chest and am coughing, it's not settled fully in my chest yet.

I got the new version of the z-pack today. It's called z-max. Let me tell you, I am afraid of it. It's a one day anitbiotic, in a powder. Basically, it's a little bit of powder in a big bottle. You fill the bottle with water, shake it up and slug it. It purports itself to be cherry-banana flavored. Umm....ew. But it's the same dosing as the z-pack (which works wonders for me) only I'm done in one day. We'll see what happens.

I hope the z-max works for you! I'm lucky to not suffer from alergies. Good thing too. I'm too wimpy to deal with all that mess!

Wow, the Zmax sounds intense. And kinda gross. Hope it does work though. I used to get strep ALL the time when I was little and so I've built up a tolerance to the anti-biotic w/ an a...can't remember what it's called right now. The last few sinus infections I've had to have the zpack to have it work effectively. I had the a antibiotic & was still sick after the 2 wk spread. GAH! Let us know, wouldja? (too lazy to sign in)
